Terms of service

The service

Fairground provides venue-management software as a service: online bookings, a hosted public site per venue, point of sale, parties, waivers, staff and accounting features, as described on this website. It is sold to businesses, not consumers.

Trial and billing

New accounts start with a 14-day free trial with no payment details required. To continue past the trial (and to take a venue live) you set up a Bacs Direct Debit via GoCardless. Subscriptions are billed per live venue at the prices published on our pricing page, exclusive of VAT, against a VAT invoice issued each billing cycle. Prices may change with at least 30 days’ notice, taking effect from your next billing period.

Cancellation

There is no minimum term on monthly plans: cancel at any time and your subscription runs to the end of the current billing period. If payment fails or a subscription lapses, your account becomes read-only — your data is retained and the account recovers when payment is made. You can export your data at any time.

Your responsibilities

You are responsible for the content of your venue’s public site, the accuracy of your product and pricing information, your own terms with your guests (including waiver content and refund policies), and your obligations as data controller for your guests’ personal data. You must not use the service unlawfully or attempt to breach its security or tenant isolation.

Payments to your venue

Card payments from your guests are processed through your own account with your chosen payment provider (such as Stripe or Revolut) under that provider’s terms. Fairground never holds your takings and is not a party to those transactions.

Service and liability

We work to keep the service available and your data safe (including daily backups), but the service is provided “as is” without a guaranteed availability level during the current early-access period. To the extent permitted by law, our total liability in any 12-month period is capped at the fees you paid in that period, and neither party is liable for indirect or consequential losses. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited.
